The Highlanders have a very strong connection with Kahlenberg (a Mountain next to Vienna) and the Polich Church in Vienna. It is important to care about both, folk and religious traditions. Kahlenberg found its place on the guideon of the Highlanders Alliance. The Highlanders helped renovating the St. Joseph's Church on Kahlenberg. However, the whole story of the Highlanders in Vienna had a start in "Emmaus" (rooms of the Polish Church at the Rennweg Street). Rectors have been giving the opportunity to practice there. The Highlanders are the constant component during many church celebrations.
